POPCORN
Popcorn is a limited edition collection of generatively created art. Each piece is composed of two simple shapes: lines and circles. The positions and directions of the lines, and the positions and sizes of the circles (and whether or not they are filled), is determined randomly. Over 100 different palettes were chosen at random to add further variability and versatility to the artwork. The individual pieces have not been curated.
Each piece is rendered as a 4:3 ratio portrait. The art was coded using Javascript (the p5.js library) and the output converted to Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format. This means that the image can be scaled to any size without pixelation. So, you can put it on your wall at home, on a billboard, or display it in a virtual gallery, or in the metaverse, without any loss of clarity. The images are stored on the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), a decentralized and distributed storage network that is very resilient.
